Tafwyl 2024

S4C, BBC iPlayer - Tafwyl 2024

The Tafwyl music festival, a vibrant celebration of Welsh culture, music, and the arts. Held in Cardiff, Tafwyl showcases a wide range of Welsh talent, blending traditional and contemporary sounds across various genres.

Orchard Media’s coverage brought Tafwyl to a wider audience, providing viewers with high-quality footage of live performances, interviews with artists, and behind-the-scenes glimpses. It highlighted the festival’s inclusive and community-driven spirit while celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Wales.

S4C aired the coverage in Welsh, reinforcing the festival’s emphasis on promoting the Welsh language, while BBC iPlayer provided on-demand access for a broader UK audience, making the event accessible to both Welsh speakers and music enthusiasts.

MediaTracks: In true MediaTracks spirit, we were keen to help Orchard deliver truly authentic coverage, all the way down to the music. That’s why we decided to expediate the delivery of our first ever Welsh language music project to have it ready in time for the Tafwyl weekend. Just four days after the tracks were created, they were mastered, registered and delivered to Orchard for use in the edit.

This marks the start of our commitment to supporting Welsh-language on television and helping Welsh talent make their mark on production music.
